The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football franchise based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The Raiders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded on January 30, 1960, and began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). They joined the NFL as part of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The Raiders played their home games Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Los Angeles, Nevada.
The Raiders have won three Super Bowl championships and one AFL championship.
