The Tennessee Titans are set to travel to TIAA Bank Field to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a crucial week eighteen divisional matchup. The Titans come into the game with a record of 7-9 and currently sit in second place in the AFC South. On the flip side, the Jaguars enter the contest with a record of 8-8 and hold onto the first place spot in the AFC South. While this has been the weakest division in the AFC this season, it has been the most interesting divisional race. It has all come down to this for the Titans and Jaguars. Whoever wins this game will take the divisional lead and in turn will clinch a playoff spot. In turn, whoever loses the game likely will miss the playoffs outside of a very specific scenario where the Jaguars could take the final wildcard spot. With so much on the line, this is obviously a must win game for both teams. There is a chance that the rivalry between these two teams could finally be reignited, and this could end up being a must watch game.
Tennessee Titans Hope to Steal Division With Win
The Tennesee Titans find their backs against the wall this week after a tough loss to the Dallas Cowboys last week. The Titans lost by a final score of 27-13. Tennessee was forced to play Josh Dobbs at the starting quarterback position after a couple of disappointing performances from Malik Willis. Dobbs finished the game with 232 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Derrick Henry was also out against the Cowboys, giving the Titans a very slim chance to win the game before it even started.
Henry is set to make a comeback this week, and he will have to have a big game for the Titans to pull out a win. He has a history of having huge perfroamnces against the Jaguars and that is exactly what they will need. Jacksonville’s offense has been clicking and there is a chance that Henry ends up being the only source of legitimate offense for Tennessee.
Jacksonville Jaguars Look to Hold Onto Division Lead
Last week the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Houston Texans by a final score of 31-3. Jacksonville has been on a tear through their recent game, and it has propelled them into first place in the AFC South. They have a chance to defend their lead and take the AFC South crown for the first time since 2017. This would be a huge milestone for Trevor Lawrence and a very promising sign of things to come in Jacksonville.
They are in very good shape to come out of the final week of the regular season with a win as long as they continue to play at the level they have been over the past few weeks. The offense has been clicking and Lawrence is beginning to live up to the massive hype that he had coming into the league. This is a game that could come down to the wire, especially if the Jags struggle to contain Derrick Henry.
