The Minnesota Vikings are set to travel to Highmark Stadium to take on the Buffalo Bills in a highly anticipated week ten matchup. The Vikings come into the game with an incredible record of 7-1 and hold a commanding first place lead in the NFC North. On the flip side, the Bills enter the contest with a record of 6-2 and are fighting to stay atop their division. With the Vikings having a little bit of leeway with their divisional lead, this is not a must win game, however, taking this game would fully establish as one of the best teams in the league this year. The Bills however, need to win this game. They still have not managed to pick up a divisional win this season, and as a result of this, they are currently struggling to hold onto their first place spot in the AFC East.
Minnesota Vikings Look to Continue Their Stranglehold On the NFC North
As previously mentioned, this has been an incredible first half to the season for the Minnesota Vikings. They are in the divers seat to finish first place in their division, and if the first half of the year is any indication, they could even finish with the best record in the NFC. They have an elite balanced attack on offense and have recently added tight end T.J. Hockenson to the mix as well. Along with this, they have a talented defensive unit that has held their own against even some of the best offenses in the league.
They will be put to the test this week against the Bills who come into the contest with one of the best offeneses in the league. Buffalo has an elite passing attack that will be difficult for the Vikings secondary to keep up with. However, as we saw last week, their offense is not unstoppable. The New York Jets showed the blueprint to slowing down the Bills, and if the Vikings can continue this success, Buffalo may have a rough second stretch to the season.
Buffalo Bills Hope to Bounceback After Tough Divisional Loss
The Buffalo Bills are coming off of a very tough 20-17 loss to the New York Jets. The Bills were heavily favored coming into the game and many thought that it would be an easy win for them. However, the Jets played an almost perfect game and made the Bills play sloppy. This was far from normal from a Bills team that has put together an incredible opening stretch to the year. They will have a great opportunity to bounce back this week against the Vikings and prove that last week was just a fluke and they are still the Super Bowl favorites.
The offense will have to step up this week and once again command a game. The defense may have some trouble slowing down the Vikings offense, and this game could end up being an offensive onslaught.
