The Houston Texans are set to travel to Nissan Stadium to take on the Tennessee Titans in a week sixteen divisional matchup. The Texans come into the game with a league-worst record of 1-12-1. As a result of this, they find themselves in last place in the AFC South, currently sitting three games behind the Indianapolis Colts in third place. On the flip side, the Titans enter the contest with a record of 7-7 and currently sit in first place in the AFC South. They currently hold a one-game lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars. As a result of this, this is a must-game win for the Titans. If they do not win the division, they are unlikely to see the postseason. With the Texans playing some great football over the past two weeks, this could end up being a very close game between two division rivals.

Houston Texans Look to Pull Off Big Upset After Coming Close In Last Two Weeks

As previously mentioned, the Houston Texans have the worst record in the NFL. Despite this, they have had very competitive games with two of the best teams the league has to offer in their last two games. First, they were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys by a final score of 27-24. This was a game that came down to the last drive, and if one more play would have gone their way, they could have pulled off the upset. Last week, they took on the Kansas City Chiefs, and rather than coming into the game slow after a disappointing loss in their previous game, they showed up ready to play. While they were sent home with a loss in the end by a final score of 30-24, they still took the Chiefs to overtime.

If they continue to play at this level, this matchup against the Tennesee Titans is very winnable. Houston’s defense will have to continue to step up and stop Derrick Henry. While some teams have found a way to slow down Henry this season, it is still a very tall task.

Tennessee Titans Hope to Hold Off Jacksonville Jaguars In Divisional Race

The Tennessee Titans are coming off of a very close loss against the Tennessee Titans. It appeared that the Titans were going to force the game into overtime, however, the Los Angeles Chargers put together a last-second drive that set up a game-winning field goal. Tennessee would end up losing by a final score of 17-14, but there were plenty of positive takeaways for the Titans.

This week they are up against a much weaker opponent in the Texans. Houston has one of the worst rush defenses in the league. This could mean big things for Derrick Henry and in turn Tennessee’s offense. Last week against the Chargers, Henry went ran for 104 yards and a touchdown. Along with this, he was the Titans’ leading receiver with four receptions for 59 yards. With Henry and the Titans poised for a big week, this should be a very winnable game for the Titans.
