The Green Bay Packers are set to travel to Lincon Financial Field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a week twelve Sunday Night matchup. The Packers come into the game with a record of 4-7 and currently are tied with the Detroit Lions for second place in the NFC North, five games behind the first place Minnesota Vikings. This has been a very disappointing season for the Packers and while things are beginning to slowly better in the passing game, it may be too little too late for Green Bay. On the flip side, the Eagles enter the contest with a record of 9-1 and currently hold a two game lead for first place of the NFC East. Along with this, the record of 9-1 also gives the Eagles the best record in the entire NFL thus far. While many have been very high on the Eagles through the entirety of the season, very few if any at all expected them to be quite this good. Barring a very out of character and embarrassing loss to the Washington Commanders, the Eagles have put together a perfect first half to their 2022 season. With the super team they have constructed, and the comfortable divisional lead they have built, Philadelphia has quickly become one of the scariest teams in the NFL and not a team that you want to see when trying to get a whole team back on the right page.
Green Bay Packers Look to Right the Ship Before They Become Out of Wildcard Contention
As previously mentioned, the Green Bay Packers have greatly struggled through the first half of the season. While there have been some improvements in the passing game mainly brought upon by the relatively new connection between Aaron Rodgers and Christian Watson. It appears that Rodgers is finally beginning to trust his receiving core a bit more and his receiving core is finally giving him a reason to trust them. While there will likely never be another Devante Adams-esque connection for Rodgers, it was clear that the Packers offense was going to continue to implode until he began to trust his young receiving core.
The Packers will be put to the test this week against the Philadelphia Eagles who are elite on both sides of the ball and have very few weak spots through their entire roster. It may take Rodgers turning back the clock and putting out a vintage performance for the Packers to have a real chance in this game.
Philadelphia Eagles Seek to Hold Onto the Best Regular Season Record In the NFL
With the Philadelphia Eagles having such a commanding lead over the NFC East, it is safe to say that barring any major changes, Philadelphia will win the division and automatically qualify for the playoffs. However, the Eagles also have the best record in the entire NFL at the moment. It is clear that for them to establish themselves as real contenders, they will have to close the season the same way they opened it. As a result of this, there is a very good chance that the Eagles are able to take a big win over the Packers on Sunday Night.
