According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, there is no truth to the rumors that the Seattle Seahawks are interested in acquiring Baker Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns. Rapoport said on The Pat McAfee Show that he doesn’t believe a deal will happen, and that the Seahawks have never been all that interested in Mayfield. He believes the initial rumors were blown out of proportion and that Seattle is more interested in having a quarterback battle between Drew Lock and Geno Smith. Mayfield has started 59 games over the last four years but is unlikely to play another game for the Browns, as he has requested a trade and been excused from minicamp. The Seahawks appear to be set on sticking with Lock and Smith as their top options at quarterback.
