The Tennessee Titans are set to travel to Lincon Financial Stadium to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a week thirteen matchup between two of the top teams in the league through the first half of the season. The Titans come into the game with a record of 7-4 and currently hold a two-and-a-half-game lead over the Indianapolis Colts for first place in the AFC South. On the flip side, the Eagles enter the contest with a 10-1 record and hold a two-game lead over the New York Giants for first place in the NFC East. Along with leading one of the two most competitive divisions in the entire NFL this season, the Eagles as have the best record in the whole league. This is a highly anticipated match and could end up being one of the top games to watch this week.
Tennessee Titans Hope to Grow Their First-Place Lead In the AFC South With a Big Upset
The Tennesse Titans are coming off a very tough 20-16 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. In that game, running back Derrick Henry had a rather disappointing performance. He finished the game with 38 yards and zero touchdowns on 17 carries. Although he had a rough day on the ground, he uncharacteristically had a big day through the air. He caught three passes for 79 yards. One of these receptions went for 68 yards before he fumbled which was eventually recovered by Treylon Burks for a touchdown. If Henry is not able to step up and have an elite performance against a very talented Eagles defensive front, the Titans have little to no chance of pulling off this upset.
Although quarterback Ryan Tannehill had a great day threw the air a couple of weeks ago, it is unlikely he will be able to do anything close to that against a great Eagles secondary. Along with this, the defense will have a very tough time slowing down the Eagles’ offensive unit.
Philadelphia Eagles Look to Continue Dominant Run and Keep the Top Record In the NFL
The Eagles have been the best team in football this season and have looked dominant through their first eleven games. As long as they do not have an out-of-character game, they should have no problem getting the job done. They have an elite balanced offensive attack. The Eagles are a team that can bury you with the pass or the run and a lot of this comes as a result of quarterback Jaylen Hurts. Hurts has had a breakout season this year and has proven that he is one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Although the Titans rank eighth in the league in points allowed per game, the Eagles’ defensive unit is not far off, ranked ninth. This game could end up being a defensive battle, however, if it comes down to which offense can edge the game out, there is a good chance Philadelphia adds their eleventh win of the season.
